Safe Standing at Rail Seats

We could waffle on about this but the video says it all. There are valid political and emotional arguments against safe standing. But arguments based on the research and facts are hard to find.

One Response to Safe Standing at Rail Seats

That’s a clever idea, but doubt it would work in the UK. What attracts me about a return to a terrace section is being able to stand with mates and also having the ability to move away from dickheads & whingers if necessary. I guess if that kind of rail seats were introduced, they’d have to be numbered and allocated accordingly, therefore you’d have the similar problem of current seating where you could end up next to the same dickhead all season.

I’m sure fans would move around and huddle behind the goal or nearest away fans, but could see the stewards and old bill wanting everyone on their allocated “rail” for the usual H&S reasons and so the eye in the sky can pinpoint “troublemakers” etc.
